Have you ever had one of those moments where everything around you is going crazy and you can’t seem to stop? My husband and I seem to be going through one of those at the moment, and it feels like we are in the eye of the storm. But, in this chaos, there is something profound that happens; healing. We are given the opportunity to take a moment to find out what is important, and then make our next step.
I’m not sure if you’ve felt it as well, but the last week of February 2020 was something else. I had a great time with my Clutter Clearing Challenge, and watching the wonderful unfoldment people had with releasing clutter. In retrospection, this clutter clearing challenge brought up stuff for me, and my husband to deal with. Our “muggle” (non wonderful) work was taking a toll on us.
The pair of us watch the signs. When something at home, which was dear to us, broke, we knew we had to stop and listen to what was going on. We both knew something wasn’t right and we had to change it. But “what” it was, we didn’t know, and “how” to do it was another matter. There were things each of us did though to find out what was next.
My husband called a friend, where as I sat and went inwards with pen and paper. It’s funny how my turning inwards came to a big to-do list of all the things I had going on; and the advice he got was to organise. Together, we knew we had to make plans to tackle the things which we hadn’t done, so we could face the rest of the storm together.
Over to you … Healing Chaos
What’s happening in your life right now? It may be going well and everything is good, or it may be in need of some quiet time and reflection to work out what to do next. I suggest writing, in long hand with pen and paper, three sides of paper (A4 or legal). Fill the paper with all the things which come to mind, even the mundane. Then notice what advice or information comes to you. This is what works for me, and I’d love to hear what happens for you.
