I live just outside of London, and I am often asked what I like about living in the London area, and for me – it is the rich culture that I have available to me, when I want it. I love the hustle and bustle of London, the way the sky looks at night (and the early hours of the morning!), and I love the theatre too! One of my favourite sounds is that of the orchestra getting ready to play for the musical that I am about to see.
However, last year, I found that there were many things that I regretted. I regretted not seeing Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act, I regretted not seeing some other famous actors and actresses in plays and as some of these shows and appearances were one off, I am never going to have that opportunity. I also regret booking tickets to a show for my Nan and I, only to find out that I couldn’t make it! At least my mum got to enjoy the show for me!
So this year, despite my pledge of not making any new years resolutions – I am going to try and live a year of no regrets. I am not sure if that is going to be easy or hard, or if that I will give up at one of the first hurdles, but it is something that I am going to try out. So far, I have been to one of the shows that I wanted to see, a play called Deathtrap. I am not sure if Spirit wanted to help me along with my intention or not, but I brought the cheapest tickets available – £9.75! My reasoning is that my no regrets policy doesn’t have to cost me too much! When I arrived at the theatre to pick up the tickets, the man looked at me, and just said “We are going to upgrade you”. Great I thought, and when I saw the tickets – they were the most expensive tickets in the house – and I got to see a very good play close up!
Setting an intention is easy, and as my good friend and teacher, Denise Linn, says “Where intention goes, energy flows”.
So what is your intention for this year? It doesn’t have to be very big, but set it and see what happens for you!
